Project Title Provision of “Supporting Teachers” (Volunteers) in Government Primary / Middle Schools

 

Sector Education
  Targeted Beneficiaries Association’s registered beneficiaries thorugh out the country.
  Existing Project Area Association’s registered beneficiaries located in Six most effected union council of Oct 2005 earthquake in Tehsil Balakot District Mansehra and Students of Government Schools in which this facilities is provided.

 

Current Status This project has been currently suspended due to funding issues.

Project Executive Summary
The objective of this project is to improve educational standard by providing trained supporting teacher (Volunteers) in Government primary / middle schools and also to provide employment opportunities to qualified job less people in their own areas from the circle of Association’s registered beneficiaries.

In this regard, district education department has issued a “NOC” to Association to appoint these teachers in government schools. Since October 1, 2009, Thirty (30) supporting teachers have been appointed in Government Primary Schools in the following Union Councils of Tehsil Balakot of District Mansehra:
• Union Council Balakot
• Union Council Garlat
• Union Council Shohal Mazullah
• Union Council Talhatta
• Union Council Karnol
• Union Council Garhi Habibullah

Project Objectives
• To improve the education standard in Govt. School by deploying the qualified deserving beneficiaries as a “Supporting Teachers”
• To support the qualified Orphan and Deserving beneficiaries families members by providing them jobs near to their home.
• To produce the education environment in neglected class of people
• To create education awareness in remote areas through their own people.


Currently, approximately 900 students and 30 deserving families are directly getting benefit from this project. The name of schools and number of students benefited from this project are shown in a table linked below:
